Can't save files (and I have looked)

Hello there,

Trudged thru a load of search results and can't quite find what I'm lookin 4.

I use WinXP and LW 4.2.6

B4 I had WinXP I used WinME, I also had an older version of LW. I had no probs saving to shared folder.

My folder for sharing is D:\documents and settings\lindy\shared

When I try to save this is what I get.

SAVE PLAYLIST AS:
Look in:-................Limewire 4.2.6 (this is a drop down box)

(then in box underneath, root and shared)

When I try to save it to the folder D;\documents and settings etc it doesn't work cos as soon as I delete from library they go from shared folder.

I can keep the downloads by copy 'n' pasting or drag 'n' droppin to another folder but would like to know how to keep them in the shared folder so I can, well, um share.

Plz help coz I have sooo tried very hard to solve the problem myself.
(Havin said that the ansa is probably staring me in the face, but I'm a bit thick -maybe a lot thick- when it comes to computers)

methinks I'm in the wrong place and haven't a clue how I got there. Whilst looking to see my post it said it was in mac support. Don't think I want to be there (understatement or what??)

I couldn't find how to do new thread so did one after looking at a result about saving or sharing files.

Why would you be deleting files from the library? Your shared folder is also the name for the LW downld folder. In the LW Library window it has a quick name (not one you gave it) called Saved Files. Click onto this folder & press the Explore button & the folder will open up for you. You can move your files from there to wherever you want to such as a folder you wish to share.

I, er, well, I was just testing to see if you were taking notice...lol... (like you believe that..............HAH!!!)

THANKYOU VERY MUCH for that. Like I said I'm not too clever when it comes to computers but I have managed to do what you said and I am now sharing files Yippee.
