![]() Not sure if this is available of not, so I posted it in the new feature request section just in case. I'm looking for a way to either restrict or disable some of the search types. I can search and find practically anything in LW, but that's not acceptable to me when a child is using it. I would like to restrict the use of LW to documents and audio files. if a search is done for programs, images and/or video, I would like it to either not be available (grayed out), ask for a password or not allow it. I have two PC's. LW is only installed on one, which I mostly use. The other older PC is mainly used by my son. I don't want him having full access to LW. Any ideas on how I can do it?? |

![]() A separate account for him definitely. Then use the keyword filter. There's not really any other way other than supervision. 1. Direct instructions to eliminate porn from results. Others to add ... xxx, adult, tape, cam, sex, nude 2. You could also add file extensions to the word filter. Such as .jpg, .gif, jpeg, .jpe, .mov, .wmv, mpg, mpeg, .avi, .div, .rp, .hd, dvd, vcd, swf, movie, video, film, etc. Last edited by Lord of the Rings; October 15th, 2007 at 08:46 AM. Reason: Added film to the list |

![]() Thanks. I'll guess I'll have to use filters for now on his PC. But it could also be reversed by him and anyone. Luckily he's not knowlegeable enough to do it, which is why I asked for it to be password protected on the new features request forum. |
