Unhappy I Can"t Figure Out How To Play A Movie (divx) I"ve Jsut Downloaded

I'm def. not a computer wizz, and I can't believe how complicated initially installing limewire. However I'm nearly there (crossing my fingers).

I downloaded a movie (divx) and it when playing it connects automatically to windows media which does not support DIVX. So I've downloaded Dr Divx. How do I connect Limewire to Dr Divx? Is there a way I can play this movie???

Unhappy Help, Downloaded Movie (divx) and can't play it

Need help, I'm going Insane! Limewire was complicated enough to install, so far I think I'm nearly there.

However just downloaded a Movie in connection with DIVX and it automatically opens through Windows Media which does not support Divx. I then downloaded DR DIVX and I don't know how to load/convert this Movie Download to DR DIVX so that I can finally play it etc etc..... it keeps switching/loading up Windows Media. Help....!!!

Outside of LW, select the file in question & go File>Properties>open with... & select DivX player & choose always open with.

Another alternate player to use is VLC which is a free player with built in codecs & plays everything except the odd wmv file: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose the nearest mirror site - I chose France & it was fine! Yet I'm from Peter Costello land. lol)
