limewire doesnt open when i double click it

Alright, I downloaded LimeWire and used it once. It worked perfectly for me that time. Then I didn't use it for acouple days. The next time I went to open it, it would not open. I double-click the application file and nothing happens. I looked up the problem under support and found this:

Q: I try to start LimeWire and nothing happens. What’s the problem?

A: Make sure you are connected to the Internet. We’ve noticed that on some modem systems you need to be dialed in (connected to the network) for the application to even appear. We’re currently working to resolve that problem. However, you will not be able to search the Gnutella Network with LimeWire if your connection to the Internet has not been established. LimeWire WILL NOT establish a connection to the Internet for you. You may also have uninstalled LimeWire and the shortcut still appears on your desktop or taskbar. Please update to the latest version by downloading the installer.

Yes, I am connected to the internet. I have tried uninstalling the program, redownloading a new installtion file and then reinstall it several times. But it still does nothing.

If anyone has any suggestions or answers to why it's doing this and how to fix it. Please let me know.

Thanks ahead of time!

just a thought what java version are you running. LimeWire requires Java to operate.

Check this link out: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...hlight=JRE+1.5

"lord of the rings" gave me a link to the lastest version to download. I wasn't sure if I had the latest version or not so I went to the site, downloaded it, then installed it. Sadly, that didn't fix the problem.
