Angry LimeWire 4.4.4 Java Problem

I recently created a new Login on my computer (running windows xp) for my dad. I tried opening limewire and it seemed to be a little off since it wouldnt open. and gave a message about an AUX Magnet key and that i need to install java

I downloaded version 4.4.4 and when i first tried to install it, it told me i had to remove java software i already had. I did so and restarted and tried again and got the same thing. I removed lime wire and java and started again, so this time i downloaded the java software directly of the website and installing java after installing limewire.
Now im getting the message "Could not open AUX magnet key." and then it tells me i dont have java installed when i clearly do.
I try re-installing java again and it tells me to remove it so i do so and re-install.

i still get the same message and im somewhat frustrated.

How can i fix this.

Hmmm not sure but did you download and install from the new user account or did you do it with administrative privileges in the administrative account.

My old version of limewire transfered over automatically and thats when it stopped working.

My dad's account has full administrative privelages, and i used that account downloading java and limewire after it first stopped working.

Still not sure but sounds like it might be your Java version. It seems some machines prefer the other version of java.

This link has a link to both versions. I would uninstal the version that you have now, and install the other version to see if that helps.

My best guess is something is wrong with your registry. Take a look around for some registry fixing/cleaning tools. Both errors you're seeing are a result of LimeWire not being able to find certain things in the registry.

^^^If that is the case, the threadstarter can download Registry Mechanic from Lime Wire.lol It appears to be the most popular registry cleaner on www.download.com .

To the threadstarter, I'm just curious to know whether your version of Lime Pro is bought or downloaded??
