 These are preset at 3 for LW Basic & 5 for LW Pro. However if you run as a UP then your connections will be greater. Only LW will know if you are capable of this (& so long as the option is not disabled.)  |

| LW decides itself when or if you are both capable & ready to run as a UP & if the Gnutella network needs it at that time. (Of course there's an option under Tools>Options>Speed to disable UP.) So there's nothing you can do really except optimise LW. |

| Earlier today, for the first time, there were approximately 20 to 30 hosts under my connections tab and my downloading speed increased dramatically. Then all of a sudden they dropped down to 5 again. I can't figure out why this happened, I did not change any settings anywhere. |
