"Describe" button Not functioning
 

For some reason, once I upgraded to Limewire's latest version - all the songs in my library are red and the "Describe" button will not pop-up any of the songs' information. I cannot edit tags and newly downloaded songs are not appearing in my library.
PLEASE help!!

Sounds like you changed your settings or something before or during the installation process. So now you're saved & shared folders are a little different to before. Files will downld to your Saved Files folder. Files in your Saved Files folder will be red if they're not being shared. Also files that have not fully loaded after opening LW will be red. During this time they cannot be played or launched, etc. Just wait.

You may need to re-add some folders to share or else press the Refresh button after the downld for the files to appear in your shared folder. Be patient for these to turn black.

I have done that several times - and the strangest thing - is that while I show the files in my computer - when I add the same folders to the library - no files appear?????

You may need to press the Refresh button for the new shared files to show (click on the folder for it to show the contents: if there's an arrow there it means there's a folder inside it so click the arrow to show the other folders & then click on the folder of choice.)

Starting to ge me baffled here! lol :D Go to your LW menu Tools>Optons>Saving & make sure the downld folder is the correct one. Go to Tools>Optons>Sharing & make sure all appropriate folders for sharing are on the list. If not add them & then don't forget to press the Apply button. Then go back to your LW Library & see if these folders & files are there. If not press Refresh. Everytime you press the Refresh button LW takes some time to account for them all which (depending on how many files) can take a few mins or over 10. One by one they will turn from red to black. This is the same thing that happens when you 1st open LW.
