![]() My Limewire Pro is stuck in Leaf mode even tho I DO NOT have Ultra-peers disabled and I was wondering if this was something normal or not I do have a fairly fast cable connection and it use to be running as an Ultra-Peer but what happend is what I am wondering |

![]() No, theres no need to reinstall. I've found that newer versions of limewire might have slightly different 'rules' or parameters by which they determine who will be ultrapeer. For me, I always eventually get there. If I run 16+ hours a day, each day when i start up, I'm Ultrapeer, but if i dont run it for 2-3 days in a row, I'll start out a leaf, and today it took nearly 2 hours before i clicked disconnect and reconnect and it actually jumped me up. But keep in mind that you need to keep all the settings OPEN and available for incoming connections, sharing fairly, for best results. (It doesnt seem that the freeloader setting matters in the software decision). But people are right here when they say the software chooses what the network needs. Hope that helps too. - Cougar |
