![]() I have had LimeWire Pro for some time, over 6 months, and have recently (found and) installed it again. It now comes up telling me that I should update, but when I enter my email address is says it is not recgonised. Is there no way to get the update without having to pay for the software again? Also, I have display problems. When I look at the download progress for the files, half of the text seems to be cut off, meaning I can't see it properly. The same goes for anything in the 'LimeWire Media Player' box. Do I need to update to get rid of the problem, or what should I do to get rid of it? Can anyone help?? Thanks. |

![]() Hmmm the free updates are only good for six months. Check out this link. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml There were some issues in versions prior to 4.8.1, that were corrected in the current version. It would be highly advisable to update your version. The basic version is free if you do not not want to donate for the pro version and support future developement of the program. I'm not sure about your display problem updating may fix it also. If not post back. |

![]() Updating your Java & deleting your LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed might also eradicate the problem. But versions from about LW 4.2 to 4.8.0 had a security issue & 4.2 had some other issues also. See: Fixes for Limewire |
