Limewire crashes system

I have win xp
LW kept crasjhing the system & it would reboot, etc.
exceedingly annoying.

It improved after I actually clicked to send the error to MS and was redirected to a site with an update for visual network?

http://updates.visualnetworks.com/

I do not claim to understand it, but it worked
