deleting incomplete files

I have a very annoying problem. What do you do if you want to delete a file which you have added to your list of files waiting for download and which has not yet been downloaded???

If I click 'stop' on the context menu, the file disappears for one session from the list but then reappears the very next time I open Limewire. If I delete the file in the 'Incomplete' section of the 'Library,' it reappears the next time as well. Even if I delete the file from C:\Documents and Settings...\Incomplete, the ******* finds its way to reappear out of nowhere again.

The result is that the list of files waiting for download gets ever longer to the point it is really undescribably long and Limewire keeps downloading files it has already downloaded from a different source... It's a terrible mess.

How do you handle such a nuisance so that the files could be disposed of once and for all???

Thanx for any reply! (if it's to the point, of course ;) )

Wera,
How many days do you have your Saved incomplete songs saved for? Set it to 0 so you can delete the songs for good once you shut down Limwire.
Go to: Tools/Saving/ and where is says: Days To Keep Incomplete Files, put in 0. Click Apply and hope that solves this problem.
Next, goto Library and click on Incomplete Files and hilight all the downloads and delete them for good!
Let us know if that helps you.

thanks for your reply :)
this would be a good idea but there is one problem. I wouldn't like to delete all incomplete files, but only some. if I deleted all of them, I'd need to search again for all the files I actually did want to download and this would take too much time, for I've quite a number of them.
therefore, I'd prefer to get rid of the selected files one by one...
do you happen to have any other solution in mind?

Simple! Hold down Controlbutton and selet the titles you don't want then after all the ones you selected to delete and that's hi-lighted, click on delete.
There you go!
