Ditto, just started happening today after I downloaded new LW version.
Restarted and ran Checkdisk, will run defrag, we'll see.

I'm using Windows 98 and I've locked up everytime I'm on LW Pro after something like 20 minutes.

Kazaa never locked up neither did Napster.

I don't think it's a system problem. I get no other lock ups, even when running Ameritrades Stock streamer all day. I can't find anything on the faq so am replying here.

why the freezes on the pro version??

Default The 20 Minute Freeze-Up

I'm having the same problems on Windows 98. After 20 minutes, the "blue screen of death" appears. No other problems on any other software, and I've used DSL, cable, and dialup - all with the same results.

I've noted a couple of things - first the problem seems to only affect incoming or downloads, not uploads. Second, adjusting the number and speed of up- or downloads has no effect, but just seems to take longer to happen.

I've used Pro, but as soon as this stuff started happening, I removed it, and stayed with basic. Why pay for something that doesn't work? Another note: a much earlier version, I think 4.1 or so, didn't have this problem.

I just started using LW yesterday and ran accross the same lockout problem.
I then reloaded LW 4.8.0 and seem to have cleared up the problem.
I am using Windows 98 S.E. and thought that this might be the problem, and therefore I tried to upgrade to WindowsXP but I can not figure how to do this with LW.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
Regards
Joe
