When searching LimeWire shutsdown, why??
 

Hey, ive recently downloaded LimeWire version 4.8.1 within the past few days. Its working fine, however when i try to search it gets about half way done (sometimes all the way) and then it just dissapears off my screen and is no longer running. I get back on and it does the same thing. Ive reinstalled it 3 times and have even redownloaded it. I think it may be something about the version of java i have but im not sure.

O.S. - Windows XP Home Edition w/ sp2
LW v. - 4.8.1
Java - J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 1 (version - 1.5.0.10)

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. What type & model of Graphics card do you have installed?
2. How much ram do you have?
3. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

Here is the information you requested. I got all that i could.

1. Graphics - GeForce4 MX 4000 128MB
2. RAM - 320MB
3. Hard Drive - 6+MB Free
4. Connection - Dialup
5. Modem - PCTEL Platinum V. 9.0 Modem
6. Connecting from my home
7. This is the first time ive delt with LimeWire
