Im having a problem with limewire for the first time in 3 or so years. I downloaded the new limewire basic 4.8.1 and installed it, and it worked fine for one time. Now whenever i start it up, there is nothing in the window. Even thought i cant see anything, it is still running and lets me type things in and searches for them, but i cant see what i typed in, nor my results. Every once in awhile, it shows the normal screen, but thats after its been running for like an hour or so. I have tried reinstalling it, and rebooting, but nothing is working. Can anyone help?

If that is not your display adapter or if it didn't help, you might do a forum search for your display adapter type.

thanks for the replys guys. I also just found out by using some suggestions on your pages that reducing the resolutions down to 800 x 600 fixes the problem right up. As long as it is that resolution, it doesnt crash or dissapear. It must just be a problem with version 4.8.1.

I remember the 800 x 600 res was an issue with an earlier version of LW but I thought it was fixed. So that's got me stumped. lol
