limewire shut down internet

i downloaded limewire, then i got rid of it and everytime i go on internet explorer, it says theres a problem and it kicks me off. then, i try using aol instant messenger, and it kicks me off there too! is there anything i can do?:confused: :mad:

1 What kind of connection do you have (i.e. dial-up,dsl,cable)
2 EXACTLY what does the message say?
