LimeWire 1.7 won't run

Recently installed LimeWire 1.7 on an NT 4.0 (sp6a) platform, 96Mb ram. The program fails to open, leaving just the splash screen on the desktop, until javaw.exe is terminated via the task manager. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the LimeWire application and the Java Runtime Environment (I have even tried using both LimeWire 1.7b and JRE 1.3.1_01) with no success. Had previously been using an older (uknown) version of LimeWire, which ran using LaunchAnywhereGUI.exe, that functioned properly
in the same environment. I would appreciate any suggestions.
