![]() hey im getting a new ipod and i dont want to loose all my songs im trying to get my songs that are already on my ipos to my library because alot of my songs arent in my libaray. when i plug in my ipod u know it comes up with example- KJ's ipod and all the playlists below it. well all the songs on my ipod arent in my library. how do i get them to my library?????please help ![]() |

![]() Are you talking about your iTunes Music Library or your LW Library window. You've probably deleted the songs that you downlded after adding them to iTunes library. You can only transfer songs to iPod from iTunes Music Lib. (unless you use a 3rd party utility.) Why not share your iTunes Music Library & then all your songs will show up in LW's Library window. If you want to extract songs from your iPod then you'll need a special 3rd party utility to do that. You should be able to find something here to do that: http://forums.ipodlounge.com/showthr...&threadid=4719 such as PodUtil or PodWorks & others; http://www.pure-mac.com/mp3.html |

![]() Massive bump because i hate cracking new threads open for no reason i just reformatted my computer, all my songs are gone, 555 songs, dont wanna redownload them all, worried i will kill my ipod and be at 0!! ![]() ![]() therefore, how do i get all my songs from my ipod back onto my computer? |

![]() Apple tell you that once the songs are on the iPod you can't get them back to the computer. But that's not so. There's a no. of 3rd party programs that are designed for the job, both for mac & windows. Check the iTunes/iPod sticky thread at the top of the open discussion section & you'll find links there. Look for the ipod reverse music transfer link in green about 4 posts further down. It's a little indirect as Only A Hobo also gives a link. I may as well give the main link here: How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) Broken Helix is supposed to be free. Remember, don't get confused with the LW playlist within iTunes. Songs listed there are still within your LW downld folder. You need to "Add" them to your iTunes Music folder via the suggested techniques. It's easy once you get the hang of it. Particularly since there's so many ways to do it. ![]()
