Default robbing sites

Having just read a previous thread I have realised that I have been scammed. Before getting lime wire I typed in Kazza.com I was automatically taken to a billing site (check it out for yourself!) I foolishly typed in my card details thinking this was legitimate!!!!! and have subsequently been billed £33.50 ($58.63) the payee is CLKBANK*COM DOWNLOAD which my bank tell me are a registered software company!!!!!! Good news is that they are going to refund my money and investigate the claim!! PLEASE BEWARE, I am not new to the internet but this fooled me!!!
Has anyone else had the same experience recently????????

Smile Don't feel bad

I have been in the music business for 24 years and are well versed with the internet. Don't feel bad that you got scammed because I did as well.

File sharing of music is illegal. Take for example Kaaza. They are still in court trying to resolve issues. Record companies and the DOJ are sill busting people for sharing music.

Knowing this, and being a Kaaza and former Napster user for years, I searched the internet for P2P's that appeared "legal". That means they collect a fee that you believe they are going to pay ASCAP and BMI as music royalities. The site you signed up at as well as me led to you believe that the fees were paid and everything was legal. But we were taken. I did not realize till much later that Limewire is really no different than Kaaza regarding P2P. That you could download the program for free. I am as disappointed as you are becuae I need to be able to download a lot of songs for a radio station, and thinking I was doing the right thing got burned. It appears that the only real way to legally download is to pay for songs individually. Usually $1.00 a piece.

Default TV.org is a SCAM

While searching for something on Google I came across a listing for TV.org, telliong me that I could download missed episodes of televivion shows. It sounded good, but all it was was a list of download programs, all with ad/spyware, no less.

This an an off-shoot of filesharingcenter.com - beware.

Default Membership clarification

at LimeWire.com there are two options.
You can sign up for LimeWire Pro for $18.88 or you can order the second edition of Limewire Pro.

What is the difference?
Thank you

Default Scam !

Hi... I too had found that site for LimeWire that had the 3 price membership offerings. Fortunetly, it couldn't process my chrg card. I went back several days later to try again, and was surprised to find the one time price of $18.88, thinking maybe LimeWire changed it's policies. Now I'm GLAD it didn't process my original order!!!
Sorry, wish I had saved the address of the original one, but I'm sure I just typed it in as 'LimeWire.com' . I don't normally use an engine search for such things...... though, maybe.

I won't even read the entire contents of this lengthy thread, but I ask you:

Why would it be necessary to purchase software that is promoting illegal file distributing? Nobody should have to pay for P2P software...
