Default connection through netgear firewall

I have browsed the forum and have not been able to figure out a fix for my dilemna. I am running a netgear RP614v2 router gateway with the built in fire wall and i have tried to configure a port for lime wire and i have had no sucess. no matter how long i leave LW running it never gets a connection. I am running win xp pro have a gig of ram well over 300 gig hdd and have turned off all software firewalls. I think my problem is making LW and the router agree on how to use the ports. please someone help me!!

The steps are:
1. Set up a static ip (must do this properly & do it 1st for port forwarding to work!)

2. Forward a port (use port 6346): http://portforward.com/netgear/rp614.htm

3. Within LW: Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that.

After that you can check it here: Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

set static IP forwarded the port and then went to the test page and it said it worked but i still have no connection. could it be the service name that i am setting the router to in the port forwarding?? tried pptp and it is no good should that be changed? all software firewalls are turned off.
