BSD is generally hardware related. eg: Graphic card drivers being out of date, etc. or cpu issues. LW just provides the trigger for it that's all (just as another program might do.) The issue will be with your comp. Did you search the words BSD or blue screen on the forum?

Ok, looked it up and found this.

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&highlight=BSD

It is the same exact problem I am having. Once I have changed my wireless settings on my hub to be secure is when I started to have issues. It is NOT a hard ware problem. I think something is messing with limewire through the secure connection somehow cause when it is not secure everything is fine. Direct connection runs fine so by process of elimination there is the problem. Now I am no computer pro but process of elimination must work the same right? So anyone got answears to why this is happening?

Here is what I got, A laptop 1024 ram 128, Radion video card, 80G hard drive, 3.2 Pentium 4 and windows XP with all updates and such. Thanks!

Here's a post of known graphic card issues with LW. See See The way to fix the Blank screen on startup & try the tips such as graphic card settings. The same link is in the link you gave me. Did you try to use the suggestions made? Everybody always thinks it's LW's fault. Yes LW may put your system under that testing time but the problem still exists with your hardware or its settings.

Try the beta 4.9.1: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml

Ok I am not putting limewire down. I have been useing it for about 4 years now and never had a complaint. MY PROBLEM IS WITH WHY I CAN NOT CONNECT WITH LIMEWIRE THRU MY SECURE WIRELESS CONNECTION BUT I CAN WHEN IT IS NOT SECURE!!!!!!!!!! That is what I am trying to find out. That is what I would like to know how I can fix. I dont see how checking for graphics settings would change why it it would connect on either secure or unsecure. I do thank you for your help but its not exactly helping. I did try some of the suggestions that were in that thread but I think were missing something here. Why would a secure network screw with limewire? There has to be a reason for it. If it is the graphics then why would it work fine through an unsecure wireless network? I am just trying to figure this out so I am just shooting some ideas out there.

Ok, I think I came off alittle hard. I did not mean to offend you LOTR I meant you are helping but your not seeing what I am seeing. That is the problem lies within the secure/non-secure area of the wireless connection. I feel there should be something I can do to make this work wireless, if not I can allways just walk downstairs and plug in. No biggie, just a minor hastle. Thanks for your help.

I believe LOTR is correct in saying the BSOD is usually a problem with your computer. My guess it is probally a memory issue if you can download SiSoft sandra benchmark software (Google it) and run a burn in test if you have any problems they should show up, along with hints on how to correct any issues you may have. If nothing shows up it may be a bug in LW or the way you have your wireless set up anyway hope this helps

Latter Grandpa

That did not work. Everything checks out good though. I dunno. I just downloaded what I needed by hooking up through CAT5 anyway. Thanks Though.
