Shared Folder Problem

LimeWire 1.7 doesn't see my mp3 (or any other) files when I try to specify my Shared Folder directory. It doesn't see them even when I move them to the default C:\Limewire\Shared folder. I am running Windows 2000 Professional. I am not a 'freeloader', but since Limewire doesn't see my files, it says I'm sharing 0 files!

Possibly, the mp3 file type is not in LimeWire's valid extension library.

Go to TOOLS > OPTIONS > SHARING.

A section called Shared Extensions has an extensive list of file types. Make sure that MP3 is in this list.

If mp3 isn't in the list, just come back here and we'll try to figure out the problem.

:-)
