Everytime I update J2SE, Virus!!!

I tryed dloading limewire from download.com and straight from limewire and I have got with ever version, "UPDATE J2SE".

This last time, I kept clicking remind me in 3 days which was the only option.

Well, today, AVG and Ad-Aware both say VIRUS DETECTED : Java RunTime Environment

Can anyone offer some help?

Thanks alot

*Im really close to going the Ares Lite route

Yeah, .... right. - Ares Lite seems like the way to go then, this Java Runtime Environment is really dangerous stuff.

Anyone else.... (maybe someone a little less sarcastic).

The Update for J2SE RunTime Environment 5.0 has been a virus three times now.

Is it posible to Re Instal LIMEWIRE and when it asks you to UNBLOCK in security settings, can I keep it blocked or wont the program work?

I have AUTO UPDATES turned on. Maybe turn them off?

I didn't instal the update this last time.

Java Viruses

I have been hit by Java viruses but once you have cleaned them out with a good virus scanner (I use NAV 2005) your Java installation should work with LW without any problems.

A good security messure would be to turn your auto updates off (all of them) and only manually update when you can run a virus check afterwards.

Thank you UKBOB. What virus software do you use.

What is telling you that Java is a virus? Have you perhaps considered that it's wrong, and it may be time to get a new anti-virus software?
McAffe, AVG, and Ad-Aware all found
JavaRunTime Environment (J2SE) to be a virus but only after the "UPGRADES" start coming.

*When installing, do you have to select UNBLOCK like limewires asks in your security setting?

I use Norton AntiVirus 2005, I would also suggest that once you have cleaned up your Java you do not update it for the next month or so.
