search by type

is there a way to search by file type like by .doc .txt. mp3 etc.
When searching in windows you can search by *.doc or *.xls to get all word docs and excel spreadsheets is there a way to search in this manner?

additional question, when LW automatically searches the computer for files to share doe sit look for .hhf?
