Default Limewire makes my router stop working?

When ever I connect to limewire my router stops working.
I can download on limewire, but I can't connect to anything HTTP or surf the web until I turn my router off then turn it back on.

Did you limit your upload bandwidth in the LimeWire options? If not, be sure to try that...

Yep, I've limited it.

Limewire worked fine, but now it's Limewire Pro that's doing this.

I had the same problem last night somehow the settings in my router got changed and the Firewall became disabled. I do not know if LimeWire did it or not but I reset my router and everything worked fine after that. I am using 4.9.7 beta and it may be a bug in it.

Still happaning.

It doesn't stop my router because I can still use Limewire, Kazaa, Ventrilio, etc. I just can't play Online Games or surf the web.

There is a UPnP feature in LimeWire that your router may be having a problem with. Click on the link below there is a link in it that may help you it explains how to port forward.
