Pro OR Pro second edition? Ok im kinda new to the whole lime wire thing i normaly use MIRC but I have a question. What is the differance between lime wire pro and lime wire pro second edition? and is it really worth the money if any one could help plz. |

ohhh, i never really realised that. are you referering to: The Second Edition LimeWire PRO CD We only have a limited supply so get it while you can! Only $38.50. Click here to purchase. FREE SHIPPING! if you are talking about that, that is just the limewire pro version shipped to you on a cd. i dont know why they call it second edition though. however, i recommened just buying the pro version online, since you dont get free updates for 6 months if you purchase the cd. that means, that if you purchase the cd today, and limewire comes out with a newer version tomarrow, you get stuck with the old pro version and would have to either 1) get the new version for free by downloading the basic version 2) buying the pro cd again or 3) purchase limewire pro online and get the 6 months free updates. i personally think the best way to do it is to buy limewire pro online and download it and get 6 months of free updates versus getting "stuck" with the cd and no updates. trust me, if you have adsl, dsl or cable internet, limewire pro is worth every penny |

Thanks ok but that just dosent make any sence buy the cd for 40 bucks and not even get updates thats such a ripoff i think i would really like to have the cd and the up dates for 40 bucks now thats worth it. |

the reason they do that is not because they want to rip people off, they just cant afford it. limewire has (i think) around 60 million people all over the world that have there software installed. if just 0.01% of those people ordered the limewire cd for a cheap price, then limewire would go out of buisness with all the cd orders coming in soo fast with all the needed updates. And it wouldnt be feasable for LimeWire LLC to give online updates either for CD buyers of the software because there database was not intended for that and is not setup for that. it would be a headache to keep track of all those cd buyers that need there own "pro" page to keep there software current. they tell you most of what i said earlier how you wont get updates. BUT they warned you. if you want a cd, purchase and download limewire pro, download the JRE offline installer, download and unzip the userguide.zip file available in html format, burn the cd, make a cd-cover with a lime on the front of it that says what its version is. print the limewire splash screen onto the front of the case, boom... you have your self a bootlegged version of the limewire pro cd.
