I paid for "pro" with my credit card even though I wanted basic, it never gave me a choice. I can't get support for "Pro" because my email is not recognized. This software is slowing down my computer and I don't want it. If someone does not get back to me VERY soon, I will be refuting the charges with my credit card company and contacting the BBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one here is to blame, or at limewire. You have been scammed I'm afraid.

You are not the first nor, I expect, will you be the last to throw your money at an unknown site and pay for something without knowing what you were paying for or for something you did not want.

For the life of me, I have no idea why you newbies seem to have a common sense failure when you go to these scam sites.

If presented with a transaction you don't want you stop and cancel the transaction, if necessary, by closing down your browser, you don't blindly go through with it like a braindead zombie.

Follow Hobo's advice and get your money back as well as change your payment details or you will find yourself paying for monthly fictitious purchases.

Next time, check out who and what you are dealing with before parting with your payment details.

I think you're missing the point. I suspect you've gone to a scam site who you paid & then downlded the free version from LW most likely. If LW did not recognise your email address then you obviously didn't buy it from limewire.org

At the LW downld site, you have 2 specific choices to downld either pro or basic. So to say you didn't have a choice but to get pro doesn't sound right! It means you didn't actually get the real pro from the "official" LW site. Cancel the transaction thru your credit company. Tell them you were scammed. The official LW downld page is below:
