![]() Hey guys... I've been having this problem with Limewire for FOREVER, and I always thought it was a SP2 issue. In fact, because of this I've been using Deepnet Explorer as a P2P client. After reinstalling Limewire recently, I decided I'd get it working somehow. I did a bit of research, did everything that people said they did to get it working under XPSP2, and nothing helped. For the record, when I launched Limewire, the window would launch, but everything in it would be totally grey. Every 1 out of 10 times or so it would fully launch, which is a pain... Anyway, on a whim I opened the Java Control Panel (to clear the cache), and that window was totally grey as well... I knew the problem had to be related. I reinstalled Java to no avail, which is about the same success I've had with the reinstall of Limewire. Then I found this: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view...bug_id=6267861. Apparently there is a problem with ATI graphics cards Anti-aliasing feature. Anyway, I clicked it to defaults, and Limewire works perfectly now... |
