LimeWire Uninstallation Process Hi, I'm having a problem with your guys client called 'LimeWire' I have no use for it now and I would like you get rid of it. But there's a problem here. I can't find where to uninstall it!!. Also every time I try to start LimeWire I find this code that pops up in a java appilcation. Code: LimeWire version 4.8.1 |
Hi Goto Into The Control panel Click on Add Or Remove programs select limwire click uninstall Then goto C:\Documents And Settings\Your sign on name then delete the directory .Limewire Then goto C:\Program Files and Delete the directory Limewire that should get rid of it Hope This Helps Sgt |
help! i have a very similar situation... i've tried to uninstall limewire, but it won't let me. it keeps saying 'access denied'. i've tried using the add/remove programs on windows, and i've tried manually deleting the program... nothing is working! please help! |
what about scaning your comps. with a latest edition of an antivirus... ? |
Do you have administrative privilges for the account you are doing this from? What version of windows are you using? If XP shutdown the comp and start in safe mode pressing the F8 key It should give you several options select safe mode. In start>all programs>LimeWire --- uninstall Then open windows explorer and go to C:\Documents And Settings\Your sign on name then delete the directory .Limewire let us now how it went. |
