Limewire and Java problem I'm running limewire 4.8.1 on java 2 1.3.1_04. I've been running on the old version of Java because it's the only one that doesn't mess my computer up. As I've updated limewire, I always go back and delete the new java and go back to the old version. When I say mess up I mean when you hit preview on a video file, Media Player pops up and everything goes haywire. It does the same thing on my laptop. Both computers have current updates on everything. The only connection I can make is both computers have nVidia video cards, but different ones. Everything gets a little blurry when I start limewire also. Ok, here's why I'm here - You have to use a newer version of Java to run the new Limewire 4.9. I know this because I updated limewire on my laptop because I though the bug would be worked out by now but I still can't run it without the newer version of Java. I put the new version of Java on it, same old problem. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a solution? I'm on XP SP2. Thank you! Seth |
That is odd I would say it is a conflict with one of the other programs you are running on you computers. On 1 computer I run XP Pro on my C: drive and XP64 Pro on E: , on my other base I run XP home, and my laptop XP Pro. I have not seen anything like you describe on any of them. |
