Cannot play movies after download

When playing a movie after a download, a countdown screen comes up and then the screen ha white noise, almost like it is scrambled. I have loaded all Codecs. This has happened for all movie types (avi, mpeg, etc.).

Try VLC instead to play them & see if it makes a difference. You can find a link to it here: CODECs list and alternate players for Movies

Tried that. Still same thing. Getting a countdown screen then nothing but white noise or static. Also the file seems very short in the player. 700M+ file, but in the player, looks like it is only about 15 minutes long. Wierd stuff.

I wonder, I believe DivX package has a utility that can repair videos. I did some searching & came up with these: 1. Video Fixer, / Video Fixer (not free! But a trial version available.), & also 2. Video Repair Tools list of programs (some are FREE), also see this http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=divfix BTW did you try GSpot? Tell us how it goes. Some feedback would be good.
