I understand completely!
It is such a shame that there are so many scammers out there!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I already tried that! I even went further to close items that were loaded (in the system tray)
I'm going to watch the CPU usage when I try to open it and see if there's a spike.....

I think you may be onto something there....
