![]() Okay guys ! Maybe you can help me here. Ever since I upgraded my computer from an Intel P4 3.0 ghz ABIT AS7 mobo to a AMD Athlon 3800+ and ASUS AV8 mobo - and updating to the latest version of limewire after reinstalling windows.. limewire reboots my computer everytime i open it. It will almost always reboot my computer when i try to download a song, but sometimes when I'm just searching, and even when I'm going through the firsttime configuration settings. What happens is my monitor will suddenly go black. I will still be able to hear music or ventrilo in the background for a few seconds. Then suddenly my headphones will go crazy, like screeching or sounded staticy for 5 seconds. Then the computer will reboot totally by itself. I dont have any viruses. I have tried it with and without programs runnin in the background. All my drivers are up to date. I've tried reinstalling and following the suggested fixes for general problems. Nothing works. LIMEWIRE IS THE ONLY PROGRAM THAT DOES THIS. It didnt start happening until after I upgraded my computer. I was using an old verson on limewire before i upgraded, so i dont know if its just this new version or my computer. AMD 3800+ ASUS AV8 Mobo ATI 9800 Pro SB Audigy 2 2 gigs RAM |
