![]() Is it possible to HTTP-tunnel limewire? If so, what would be the best program to use? Will this affect the download and upload speed? Thanks PS: I don't know the exact reason, but my connection blocks the ports LW, Kazaa, etc uses. This is because I have a connection offered by my university. So the only way to still use is HTTP-tunneling it. |

![]() A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire pages 1 - 3 which have links to alternative instructions. But that's using proxies.

![]() Filemond asked" Is it possible to HTTP-tunnel limewire? If so, what would be the best program to use?" Try using the search feature above right .... I entered tunnel and a lot of posts came up. It was an education for me! and you will no doubt be able to extract some useful information out of them better than me ![]() |

![]() Someone on the forum asked a similar question before & mentioned one or two. That must have been perhaps 6 months ago. I did a net search myself at that time but my impression was that it may depend on the particular program if any for it to work. Links on the forum which discuss this are 1. One, 2. Two, 3. Three, 4. Four, 5. Five, 6. Six which is why I didn't recommend any. Probably the 1st link sounded best to me but that link is within the link I gave in my 1st post. Some programs are mentioned in these links. It's one thing to mention names of http-tunnelling programs, but it's something else to recommend a program when you're not sure if any of them work with LimeWire. I have a website link somewhere which discusses this issue but I can't find it.

![]() I wasn't sure if Filemond was aware of the search function. It seems he probably knows more about tunnelling than either of us so I expect he will be able to judge if any recomendations he finds are valid. |
