You may want to consider getting a new computer as LW grows and evolves it will probably become more memory intensive and use more CPU the more features they add to it the more it the more resources it is going to require. And not being critical or anything but your computer specks are pretty weak epically for a machine running XP.

Windows has grown over time they keep adding features to it and the more they add to it the more resources it requires. XP requires 256MB of ram just to operate and it doesn't operate very well at 256MB. LW requires another 70MB which is about the same as any other P2P software out there. With those 2 programs running you are pretty well maxed out.

There are a couple of things you can do. You can add more ram but I do not think that will do allot of good in your case 1000MHz is not a real fast processor but it will help.

The other thing you can do is put 98SE on it. 98 uses allot less CPU and ram and will preform better on a machine like yours. 98 was a pretty good program for its time but it is no XP.
