Hey,

installed limewire a few days ago, everything hunky dorey... downloading stuff one night, wake up in the morning to go back on and finish things off... but limewire wont open, instead get the following error message:

Limewire cannot initialize, please uninstall and download again (paraphrased but is jist)

so downloaded, reinstalled, reset, etc etc

no joy. just get the same message. any ideas the cause?? reason behind it etc?

Could be a bug. Lots of bugs around at night.
Start from scratch so to speak. Uninstall Java using add/remove control panel. Reinstall Java using "Offline" installer; delete LW preferences. Find links for these here Fixes for Limewire
Downld & install the "Offline" LW installer. LW installer will uninstall the previous version itself! See how it goes from there.
