Limewire wont launch I've used Limewire for months without a problem and then suddenly... Whenever i try and launch it, it starts loading (Not quite the splash screen but the loading bit next to the mouse appears) and then stops. Limewire is clearly running if i check the task manager. I've reinstalled java 2 times. Reinstalled limewire countless times including completely wiping limewire before reinstalling, Hell i even tried using the new beta. I've run norton and other virus programs to ensure that isn't the problem. For the love of god help me i need a useful filesharing program... |

I have the same problem. I've used Limewire for a while now and all of a sudden it won't launch. It thinks for about five seconds and then...nothing. I'm sure someone had experienced this problem in the past so any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Okay, I just figured out the problem. If you are using Sun's Java and not MS VM, you need to go to the Java control panel and delete all java applets and cache. After do that hot apply and try to start Limewire. If that does not take care of the problem try deleting the folder ".limewire" which is located under "documents and settings." |
