 Someone Please Help Hi  This has only just occured within the last day. An error message keeps on coming up. Error: LimeWire was unable to write the neccessary file because you do not have the neccessary permission. You preferences may not be maintained the next time you start LimeWire, or LimeWire may behave in unexpected ways. This is continuous this error message. I have uninstalled then reinstalled that did not work!! Everything still downloads but takes longer and is slower to connect. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or fix it? Please help ASAP!  Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.) If that doesn't work then try step #1. Vary the version of Java depending on your system.

 Thankyou very much for that but when I do delete the folder? How do i get it back? How does it reset? x |

| You must delete the folder with Limewire COMPLETELY closed. Next time you start Limewire it automatically produces a fresh folder. You will have to check and possibly alter limewire's preference settings as doing this looses any alterations you have made in preferences. ... I hope that this helps.
