multi folder in the shared one : can I ? Hello, I'm new on Limewire and would be very, VERY glad if someone could answer this : If I put folders within my shared folder, will they appear for the others ? Or ONLY the items in the main folder is taken into account, while the items in my other folders would be seen just as a folders (leaving it's content blind). Sorry if I'm not clear :-( Thing is, I've got a ton of things already archived and would not like to put them all in a single huge folder. Thanks a lot for your help !! Jill :) PS. Is it ok to offer more than 2000 items in my shared folder, or is it better to give less for some reason (better transfer rate in up or dl) ? I've got DSL 600/100. |
They'll all be shared unless you choose not to. But if you make changes whilst LW is open, you'll need to press the Refresh button in the LW LIbrary window in order to update LW's accounting of what files are shared. Your last question, that's fine. If you're using mac OSX however, that's about the limit of what you'd want to share due to OSX's poor Java & some other reasons. |
THANK YOU !! Ok, so Limewire doesn't care if my files are into several sub-folders of the shared folder, as long as they are in the shared folder ? That's great... though I wonder how 'that' works.. When I ftp to a site, I still have the hierarchy and folders.. Anyway, thks again ! :D |
