Ok heregoes. I am using LimeWire (latest version), and it is not crashing so much as it used too. But one thing that keeps occuring after a couple of minutes use, then non use for a while the buttons freeze. I have Windows 98SE, NVIDIA GeForceFX 5600XT, 77 series driver. Can anyone please help? :confused:

It sounds like a graphics card problem.

I'll presume that you have not:

installed or removed other programs.

Have you:

Checked the system and Lime Wire directory for duplicate .jar or other files?

(I use a graphical BBS terminal program that has a hissy fit if certain .dll files are in more than one location)

Updated to the latest drivers for your video card, sound card etc?

Removed LimWire and reinstalled?

Christmas is coming, ask Santa for a newer OS like XP.


I'm using XP Pro and I have had no problems with any software as yet.

Probably a java and 98 issue maybe ram don't know you didn't provide much info about your setup.
