Limewire always freezes when I open it now, please help
 

This problem has been happening more and more frequently over the past couple of weeks. I used to be able to close the task and re-try and get it to run eventually but now Limewire will never work at all. I start it and it freezes while initializing or it freezes right after it finishes initializing and begins connecting.

My computer is only a few months old. And I scanned for viruses and spyware that could've been causing problems. It still won't work. Limewire used to work fine without a hitch, now I can't even use it. :(

I'm on Windows XP. Gig of RAM, 2.01 ghz processor, blah blah. Please help me!

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

Which version of Java are you using. It might be worth updating to Java 1.5

Don't use the resume/find sources function on too many files simultaneously or this will cause problems.

It might even be worth doing this Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue!
