Limewire Won't Start????????????????
 

Well, its thanksgiving and i leave my favorite p2p program running on my pc(which is on for 2 days)(the p2p app is limewire btw). when i return i get on my pc and see that the quick launch icon for limewire isnt there. so i double click the limewire desktop icon. it gives me a weird windows error message. so i uninstall it and reinstll the newer version and i finish the setup but the same error comes up, whats wrong.

the error message encludes:information regarding the condition of Limewire when the problem occurred;the operating system version and computer hardware in use; your digital product ID, which could be used to identify your license; and the Internet Protocol(IP) address of your computer. (that was the windows error message. )

i hope that helps. please help me, i love limewire. and in the mean time im sadly using shareaza and that **** sucks.

Sounds odd; very strange! If LW is open, close it & do this: Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

If that doesn't fix it, then I'd recommend a complete re-install of both Java & LW. Use point #1 in the above link to get a hold of the "Offline" Java installer ... this would be best. Also for LW, get the "Offline" installer. Install Java 1st.

its ok Lord Of The Rings, i gave up after a few hours and found a new favorite p2p app. Frostwire, hehe, not much a huge change.
