Performing a non-english search? I want to make searches in Hebrew, but the system only shows squares instead of characters, any ideas how can i workaround this? |
If you can read Hebrew, then change LW's language to Hebrew. Go to LW's menu bar, View>Change Language. I presume that will work. It'd help if you had system & keyboard support though. Enabling OOB searching under Speed settings might help also to find such content. Oh if you do change language uptions, you may need to relaunch LW. I can't remember if they changed that or not. |
No I cant read hebrew in LW, and there's obviously also no hebrew option in the change language menu. Can you tell me a bit more about that OOB content? |

OOB AFAIK Out of band is an option to help finding material not local culture & language. |
Thanx, but the interface language isn't what i meant, I meant doing the actual search. LW won't show hebrew characters when i type em in the search line. btw i'd love to help translating, but the translation link wont work for me in the post you pointed out nor in LW itself |

It sounds like you don't have hebrew language support on your system. Else you don't have it enabled. Better late than never to reply. :D |
A blast from the past indeed lol. Thanx :D |
I also found out after my post that Hebrew at present is only 30 % complete. Thus it needs contributors to help finish the translation. It was discussed here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=hebrew |
