![]() Hey. I just got limewire after seeing it at a friend's. A week or two ago I was browsing in it, figuring out how it works, and I noticed that I was sharing certain files. When I saw that some of them were documents, I quickly selected and deleted them, thinking I was just deleting them from a list. However, they are now gone as far as I can tell. Among those files deleted was what could potentially be a life work. Please, please, if there's any way, help me find out if I can restore those files. Any way possible. . Legacy ![]() |

![]() Sorry to here about your bad luck, but when you delete files from inside the limewire library they don't go to the recycle bin they are gone. Here's a link for suggestions on how to get your files back. accidently deleted songs

![]() Legacy What most newbies don't seem to realise is that LW libraries are just a different representation of looking at windows explorer's files and folders (files and directories). So when you delete from the library you are actually permanently deleting a file from a folder/directory, and those deleted files do not go to the windows waste bin. So, depending on how long ago you deleted those files, your best bet is to follow Hobo's advice. But, if I read your posting correctly, you deleted these files "a week or two ago" meaning that your chance of getting them back is somewhere around zero. Good luck anyway. UK Bob |

![]() Well, is it worth a try anyway. That seriously was a great plot I had down on that file. I'm a fifteen year old computer novice (I specialize in pressing the 'on' button), who writes, and whose writing is apparently gone... But thanks anyway. I'll try it and see what happens. Good to know there are guys like you around willing to help at no cost. Thank you again, Legacy ![]() |

![]() I used Active@UNERASE and found the file, but you have to purchase the full version ($40.00 US) to undelete. Now I'm trying other programs, but none can find the file. Suggestions anyone? This is pretty important to me. Again, thanks for everyone's help on this issue. Really, thanks. Legacy |

![]() Thanks. Of course, a fifteen year old doesn't really have the discretionary money to buy something like that, but I'll consider it. Yeah, I was amazed too that it was there. After what everyone else said. Now I just have to figure out a way to get it Unerased. So if anyone knows of a powerful program that's free that can help me, I would much, much appreciate it. (Most of the free ones can't seem to find it.) Well, best of days, Josh |

![]() Oh, and another thing. While searching with an uneraser program, where am I most likely to find deleted files? It suggests looking in recycle bin, but files deleted off of limwire don't go to the recycle bin. Where should I look? |
