Default LW Not Running Properly

I have a problem with my Limewire version 4.9.37. When I run it, it doesn't display anything. But when I go to task manager, I still see the LimeWire.exe. I can open it as many times as I want and every time it takes less than a second. I am running a Persario x1000 laptop with an ATI Radeon 9200 PCI gfx card. Service pack 2 is also installed, but the firewall and ports are no problem, because I have gotten it to run once, and ONLY that one time. Previous versions have also worked. I recently upgraded to 1.5 of java, but that was the only time that my limewire worked, when I upgraded, so I doubt that is the problem. Any help would be appreciated. If more information is needed feel free to post what you need and I will do my best to get it.
