Default video clips to DVD or videoCD

I recently downloaded some videos from Limewire and used Nero to burn them to DVD. They didn't work in my DVD player. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or even how to burn them as videoCD , thanks so much!

Most Video files are .avi or .mpeg, you need to convert them to DVD format before you can burn a DVD from it. DivXtoDVD is a handy tool that will do the conversion

Sorry, no, I am not a video expert at all.
The best I can do is to give you another link to Videohelp

If you have the latest version of Nero it will burn DVD or VCD. You have to select it from the options.

Use RaaF's link for further help on burning. They provide better information than I do. You can also go to the nero support section and d/l the users manual they are well written and easy to understand. They have saved me a lot of grief.

One other word to the wise. Make sure your DVD player can accept the media your are using, and It can play the format you are burning.

Xcuse my interuption but that's amazing about kvcd. I'd never heard of it before: http://www.kvcd.net/portal/index.php Amazing what it can do. That will make those limited to cd burning particularly happy.
