The Link below may help you will need to run the SDK version of java. LimeWire should work with the standard version of java it does on my Windows XP 64-bit running AMD 64 CPU.

Unhappy Thanks for the reply

Having a hard time understanding the lingo. It says to click the link to download but the link isn't highlighted and won't let me click. I noticed that you are using AMD cpu. I have intell, maybe that is the issue? Maybe I don't have to download anything just change some settings? I'm also having issues with spell check on Outlook Express, I'm thinking this may be related? Microsoft knoldgebase is no help. I know my way around a computer pretty good but sometimes I get lost when using some programming lingo.

LimeWire itself should work on Windoze x64, but you'll need the 64-bit version of Java. Look here. It will work with either AMD64 or Intel EM64T processors. It's still too early in my mind to convert to a 64-bit OS. Even though the CPU and OS support 64-bet computing, almost all programs and driver software are still in 32-bit. At this point the trouble it causes overpowers the small increase in performance. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

Unhappy Thanks

Thanks for the info. Got it downloaded but kinda scared to install. Don't want to mess things up. Can anything go wrong? Would also like to here from "Grandpa" about any advice either one of you could give me about installing & running this "bundle".

As for the 64 bit OS. It came on the system that I bought from a reputable company (Dell) and at a very good price! I figured that eventually everything will go to 64 bit and I don't buy upgrades very often. My old system was running Win 98 & I bought it in 1999.
