The thread you are refering to, was really aimed at the problems of converting videos to a format friendly to iPod.

It assumed that users were already familiar with audio iPod, and, not having used the video iPod myself assume that it is pretty much the same procedure to get the files into iTunes for video and audio.

But, as I assume you are not familiar with audio ipod, I suggest you go to the following link and read LOTRs instructions for the audio ipod, and acquaint yourself with them. My assumption is that loading videos will be a logical extention of the audio method if not the same.

I hope this helps, LOTR is the master at writing step by step instructions, but as yet does not have an Video iPod. Now if we could arrange a quick whip round.........

Your videos are saved to your save folder. In options/preferences>saving you can see where this is. If you wish you can change the location for your videos. Make a note of where your videos are.

Personally I use this method given in the link I just gave you in LOTR's first post:
"A 1st iTunes File>Add to Library... & select the songs[videos] to add. Hold SHIFT key for selecting multiple songs[videos]."

The videos will now be added to your iTunes Video Library, and that would seem to be all that needs to be done. I use this same method for audio files.

Aim at downlding mpg/mpeg files. If you're after music video files then you may find most are in this format anyway. Well 3/4 of mine are anyway. BTW Anapod is a utility to help getting videos into iPod, but still, they need to be of the correct format. Anapod is shareware but there is a trial version. But if you have iTunes then it's probably not worth bothering with Anapod since it's easier to get videos into iTunes than iPod.

It appears most utilities to reformat videos into the correct formats for iPod on windows are shareware. I think I read someone was doing a freeware version of their own but it's still experimental. You may have some success with QT pro, Nero & some other video converters for avi files ->mpeg. But don't pay for anything until you're sure it works. These are early days, sooner or later freeware for windows will become available specifically for this purpose.

I did some googling around but no true success. Here's a load of links that might not mean much at present anyway. Includes wma: How-To: Convert WMV to MOV for playback in iTunes [Windows], 2 Convert WMV to MOV for playback in iTunes [Windows] B, _ 3. iPod Video conversion tutorial (Windows & Mac),

4. HOW-TO: Convert a DVD for your iPod (with video) in Windows, _ 5. WMA files into something iTunes or the iPod can play
