ok.. i just got a new vedio ipod for xmas and i installed limewire. i downloaded a couple of songs. i went to my itunes to put the music in my ipod and the music only stayed in the limewire folder. but i noticed that i was able to put the mp4 and m4v music in my ipod. the music that didnt work were mp3. this sux because mostly all of limewire music right now is mp3 and my ipod cant play mp3 music. is there a way i can get mp3 without getting it from someone else?

I'm new to some of this stuff so hang with me. I downloaded limewire, and I want to know exactly how do I get the songs I downloaded onto my iPod? I've been trying but no use. Just need someone to point me.

1. Ignore the LW playlist within iTunes. It doesn't mean much. You can play songs from that playlist but can't copy them.

2. To copy songs to iPod, you have 2 options. One is to auto-update the iPod with your playlist. The 2nd, which I'd highly recommend is to manually update (copy to) it. See How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) There's links there about how to use iPod. See the entire 1st page!

3. Make sure the songs you want to copy across work ok. Test them to be sure that you haven't ended up with a dud mp3 file filled with silence or something.
