Default LimeWire runs on it's own

In the limewire options, I have the "run on startup" NOT selected.
If I close limewire (completely - exit from icon on tool bar) LimeWire re-starts in about 30 seconds.
LimeWire is NOT in my start up folder. Is this a feature of LimeWire basic out to annoy me?
How do I close LimeWire? It's kinda annoying, it stops Guild Wars in it's tracks. It's starting to fall under my definition of a virus.

It would be my definition of a virus as a matter of a fact it is.

Name: WIN32.P2P-WORM.ALCAN.A
Zip. Size: 851,7 kb

But LimeWire isn't at fault you are you should have read the stickies before you started downloading. Especially the one in Open Discussion Titled
Warning viruses on the network you should be aware of
If you had you would not have downloaded and opened a file that was 851.7kb in size.
