When I run limewire I get the load screen at the begining then once that finishes nothing happens. I check the processes section on the task manager and there isnothing for limewire.

I'm curious why your Ulead program should be mentioned. I wonder if there's some type of a clash.

Might I suggest you use your Add/Remove Programs Control Panel & remove Java. Then download the "Offline" Java installer & reinstall it from your computer. See a link here: Fixes for Limewire If you have any LW preferences, it might be worth deleting them.

I had tried that before to no avail.

Yet, today when I booted up my computer it started up.

Hey I can still solder wires together, sometimes ... I just don't design pcb's anymore for what that's worth.

So maybe I had been to hasty in my thinking it was fixed. After logging off my computer today Now i can't open up limewire again.
-Sigh- It's not opening on startup like I set it to or when I use the desktop shortcut.

Oh and the Solvered thing, In australia there is a Paint company called Solver Paints. THere Slogn is Problem Solvered.

Try deleting the LW prefs folder again. The only other alternatives I can think of are trying to go backward to Java 1.4.2 but that might not achieve anything. The other would be to try an earlier LW version until the next version comes out.

I too have had the BSOD from LimeWire, I'm not sure what is causing it. There seems to be a conflict between LimeWire, Java JRE 1.5.0_06, and the nVidia Graphics Drivers. At first I thought my Graphics Card was overheating, then I tried deleting the PageFile and then re-adding it to a new location, I have completely removed LimeWire from my system, including folders, registry keys, etc. One way I have found to stop the problem is closing the main window right when it opens, thus moving it to the tray. There may be an excessive amount of VRAM and System RAM allocated at startup. I will have to debug, etc to come to a conclusion, all I know is that 4.10 is the only version this has happen to me.
